May I suggest adding South Bend to the list of Indiana rust belt cities? I lived there for three years and know that there is a small but dedicated corps of YPs trying to improve their community (B.A.S.S.) who would be interested in GLUE’s efforts.
Including cities with bad reps in okay, but I’ve found since moving back to the east coast that many smaller Midwestern cities of 100,000 or more don’t present any image to the rest of the country, never mind a bad one.
As and aside, I’ve been to Cleveland several times and I like it. It’s a city with a lot of self confidence, from the Mayor and City Planning office all the way over to Case Western Reserve U.
